Services

"ACVILON-AVIA" provides the following services:

Cargo Parachuting and Non-Parachuting Airdrop
         Our Air Dropping Group has a profound experience in the special equipment and cargo air dropping using different types of cargo aircraft. The group participated many times in the equipment and cargo air dropping in the Far East Russia, inaccessible spots in Arctic Region of Russia and African continent. The members of the group include the former officers and servicemen of the Russian Air Dropping Forces. The group organized and performed the following operations:
                   1986 - parachuting cargo airdrops to the polar meteostations;
                   1990 - parachuting airdrops of equipment onto the ice near North Pole;
                   1991 - air dropping of 8 platforms (up to 7,5 tons) with equipment at Bolshevik Island;
                   1993 - parachuting and non-parachuting air dropping in Angola (West Africa) to the towns
                             sieged by UNITA forces;
                   1994 - participation in the World Food Program of the United Nations with free-flowing air
                             droppings of cargo in Sudan (2000 tons of food were air dropped over the period
                             of 3 months, with a 95-96% cargo safety delivery rate), cargo air dropping was done
                             in triple-package bags by non-parachuting system from 150-200 meters altitude on
                             the landing spots with dimensions of 100 meters by 300 meters;
                   1997 - parachuting air dropping of food supplies to the Northern regions of the Republic of
                             Sakha (Yakutia), with a 99% cargo safety delivery rate;
                   1998 - working for the World Food Program of the United Nations, the group used a new
                             system of free-flowing cargo air dropping without pallets dropping, fulfilling all flying
                             program (300 hours) with one set of pallets (26 pieces) comparing with the need of
                             2000 single-use pallets for the same flying program under the conventional air dropping.
                             The offered method provided payload of aircraft with 32-36 tons depending on air
                             temperature during take-off (however, this is not a limit for this method). Alltogether,
                             the two Il-76 aircraft dropped over 11,000 tons of cargo from July 1998 to January 1999
                             with 97% cargo safety delivery rate.
                   1999 - parachuting air dropping of food under Humanitarian Aid Programs of the United Nations
                             in the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) and Republic of Benin (Cotonou)

The method of free-flowing cargo air dropping without pallets (first implemented by our group in Sudan) proved its cost saving and increased safety in the region of air dropping as it excluded unguided flying away
of single-use pallets outside the boundaries of landing spots. The technology can also be used for air
dropping from An-26 and An-72 aircraft.
The group also continiously performs the unique research of parachuting systems, which improves and facilitates the delivery of cargo to inaccessible regions.
